 CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Young Drama Program  (ages 4 & 5 yrs)    $300    
This 12-week program introduces young ones to the world of drama through play.  Does your child love to be the centre of attention?  Or maybe they are a little shy?   This course will spark their imagination and help them be more spontaneous.

Children’s Theatre program (ages 6-17 yrs)    $650
In this full year program, we cover diction, poise, projection, body movement, improvisation and public speaking. The children are divided in groups by age and the games and material are adapted to match their maturity and ability. They also work on observation skills and team-building; essential skills to mount the play at the end of the year.

Performance program  (9-17 yrs)    $850
For Children & Teens with experience, an advanced level class with admittance through audition only!  Here we delve more into various rehearsal methods and character development techniques, This class has a final performance outside of the school at a location like the Centaur Theatre. Class runs 1.5 hrs

Autism program   (7- 17 yrs)    $300 (12 weeks)/ $850 (Teen Full yr)
The Children’s Theatre is proud to offer acting classes for cognitively high functioning children and adolescents with Autism.  Drama is a great vehicle to learn about emotional expression, recognition of other people’s feelings & group dynamics. In 12-weeks, our qualified teachers work with the kids to tap their creative spirits and improve their social skills.
